 The eatery scene in North  Coffee Table Vancouver    has evolved immensely in the once 50 times. I use this period of time because it was 50 times ago that the Seven Swell Restaurant was opened at the bottom of Lonsdale. A converted passenger ferry, it served the community of North Vancouver for about four decades before the City of North Vancouver decided to unceremoniously deep six it in 2002.   It was a surprising decision because the old ferry was further than just a eatery; it was a sightseer magnet and a corner gravestone of the community. It served as a major memorial of North Vancouver's dependence on ferries to move people and goods on and off the North Shore previous to the construction of first and alternate narrows islands. For utmost, the Seven Swell Restaurant was the only reason to venture down to the bottom of Lonsdale which was the artificial heart of North Vancouver. It stuck out like a sore thumb in the early times but still attracted people to its fabulous buff
